The Eclectic Boss B*tch's Holiday Gift Guide
......a brief gift guide t̶̶h̶̶a̶̶t̶̶ i̶̶s̶̶n̶̶'t̶̶ b̶a̶s̶i̶c̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ j̶u̶s̶t̶ a̶̶b̶̶o̶̶u̶̶t̶̶ m̶̶e̶̶ for the multifaceted baddies
The world is on fire but we should still seek respite in the midst of that, and hence…..gifts. Gifts are a warm fuzzy blanket against the harsh winds of life. (A tad dramatic but honestly? I stand by that statement.) And if you’re anything like me, you have done the inner work to unpack your materialistic tendencies and now you are…..relatively normal. And by normal I mean, you don’t require newness for the sake of newness but you still maintain a general standard of excellence for the things you own.
This gift guide is for US: people who are fortunate enough to have contentment more or less in the way of the things they own but who are still open to new and impactful things. Do I have a closet bursting at the seams? No- but what I have I thoroughly enjoy and it serves me well. Because folks like us know that the best things in life are actually free- but the second best will cost you.
But fret not because the upside to the luxury apocalypse is that shelling out big money to get something nice is hardly an issue anymore. The world is topsy turvy and you can find gold (and dirt) across every price point. The below is a tiny but mighty curated list of items that are largely in the realm of affordability and best of all, would generally enrich your life for the better. Hope this helps!
For your corporate friend who wants to look serious but not soulless
From left to right:
This J. Crew belt gives just a hint of edge to an otherwise straight edge outfit
I’m a big fan of tie front blouses and this one from Abercrombie goes with everything
Checkerboard print is risky but in a sweater vest silhouette like this Coach number, it works
This Jason Wu sweater peaking out from under a blazer feels so fun
These Madewell Mary Jane flats get a dose of edge with the studs, plus you can run around the office in them
This Coach leather skirt is the perfect staple for day to night looks
We don’t wear brooches like we should and this bow shaped one is so adorable
For your bookish friend who absolutely judges books by their covers
From left to right:
These lucite bookends will look stunning in any room
This candle is fitting for cozy moments at home with a good book
This lamp that looks like a book is just magic
These pens from Muji because one from Montblanc is not in the budget
This cup and saucer set looks FAR more expensive than it is, love that for you
This Toni Morrison shirt in the style of 90s rap merch is duality in motion
For your friend who is (sort of) into wellness and tries to live a toxin free life
From left to right:
Pull out this neon pink gym bag for days when motivation is low
Lounging on the couch in this robe with a cup of coffee is so domestically chic
This 6 in 1 kitchen appliance is toxin free and you won’t mind it on the countertop
This eye mask will help you sleep just a little bit longer post Daylight Savings
Keep this journal by your bedside to keep track of your wellbeing
This candle will help with clearing out bad vibes when your Tinder match leaves
When you know the importance of chic hand soap but don’t want to be wasteful, this subscription refill was made for you
Hydration is important and this carafe would look amazing on your nightstand
What’s the most useful gift you’ve ever gotten? Lmk! I’m always looking to expand my wishlist (and then rationalize why I don’t need it because….we are aesthetic overthinkers around here in case you forgot)
-xoxo Jenn
