alternate title: you should see this
Let me just say….these last 2 months have been the longest 5 years of my life. Between breaking news that gets more and more ridiculous with each passing day and the corporate oligarchs trying to flex their collective muscle on everyone who is gainfully employed (but at what cost? lol), there has been very little downtime for me and millions of other people. But I refuse to let this timeline steal my joy and to my surprise I have found a joy in something I haven’t loved in years….online shopping.
To be clear, I will always love fashion as an idea but the landscape changes and I don’t always love the backdrop. And honestly just before 2020, I was burnt out on how much of everything there is. And it seems like with each passing year, less and less of it is actually good. So for awhile there, I abstained from doing any shopping at all. I experienced a sort of analysis paralysis, where there were so many choices that I opted not to choose at all. I adopted a uniform of sorts (and still am, especially as a casualty of RTO mandates) and just didn’t think about my personal wardrobe beyond that.
But for one reason or another, I’m shifting. I miss seeing beauty. I don’t care if I own it; but it does something for the senses just to experience it, y’know? So….I’ve been shopping. And not just in clothes….I’ve been admiring (what I think is) good design and it’s giving me a zest for life that is so sorely needed right now. And I want to share it with you in the hopes that seeing beauty will ignite a fire in you too.
So here it is…..the contenders for the cutest things I saw on the internet recently. You should see this :)
Roger Vivier ankle boots
Brandon Blackwood bouquet clutch
Lisa Says Gah martini midi dress
Inspecial Home tissue box holder
Cynthia Rowley patchwork cardigan
Byon Design confetti tumbler
Gentle Monster Cocoa sunglasses
Pistache teddy bracelet
